Sometimes your dreams do come true! When
Allen and I first met several years ago, we both
dreamed of someday owning our own horse
ranch out in the country. Living in urban San
Diego, CA, our horses were confined to 24’X 24’
corrals at a boarding facility. Despite regular trail
rides and turn-outs, we knew they deserved
better.
So, in the Spring of 2005, we packed our bags,
loaded the horse trailer and headed east to
Harrisonville, Missouri. We purchased our
dream- a 28 acre fully-fenced horse ranch, full of
wide open grassy pastures, forested trails, ponds
and a meandering stream. And with our new
home, we acquired our first Gypsy Vanner
stallion: “Tarran Seeing Spots”. He is named
after our ranch- “The Davis’ Seeing Spots
Ranch”, for our pastures are now dotted with the
beautiful paint patterns on all of our spotted
mares.
We left behind many family and friends we miss
in California, but sometimes your pot of gold is at
the opposite side of the rainbow. We found
ours! We hope you do too, with one of our foals
or Golden Retriever puppies!
