I got my first Golden Retriever back when I moved out on
my own for college. She was not just a pet, but also my
best friend- going to classes with me, playing with the
neighbors’ kids and doing therapy work on the
weekends. She was the perfect example of the Golden
Retriever breed: beautiful, intelligent, gentle, friendly and
exceedingly loyal. When we lost her to a stroke at 13
years of age, we knew we wanted to promote the Golden
Retriever breed, and give other families the opportunity to
own one themselves.
